Lydia’s Newsroom met with three people who identify as trans. Alice Bortel, 19, is a transgender woman living in Chicago, trying to navigate newly emerged adulthood. Adam, 38, is a full-time van lifer who identifies as a trans-femme individual and Hazel Krebs, 43, is a transgender inspirational speaker, author, and mother of two. Hearing their stories can deepen understanding of the diverse experiences within the trans community.
